Alzheimer's CareAlzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia, a neurologic disease characterized by loss of mental ability severe enough to interfere with normal activities of daily living. Alzheimer's usually occurs in old age and is marked by a decline in cognitive functions such as remembering, reasoning and planning.
SeniorCare Homes has staff that is specially trained to assist residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. Our homes, located in Overland Park, are designed to provide a safe, secure and stable environment that allows memory impaired individuals the chance for accomplishment and joy each and every day. With only 5 residents, we can focus on activities that stimulate the brain and encourage independence and participation in daily living tasks around our homes. Residents wishing to participate in the Memories in the Making program at the Alzheimer's Association Heart of America Chapter in Prairie Village can have transportation provided. |
