Dementia CareA significant loss of one's intellectual abilities such as memory capacity that is severe enough to interfere with social or occupational functioning is known as dementia. Criteria for the diagnosis of dementia include impairment of attention, orientation, memory, judgment, language, motor and spatial skills and function.
SeniorCare Homes has staff that is specially trained to assist residents with dementia and Alzheimer's. Our homes in Overland Park are designed to provide a safe, secure and stable environment that allows memory impaired individuals the chance for accomplishment and joy each and every day. With only 5 residents, we can focus on activities that stimulate the brain and encourage independence and participation in daily living tasks around the home. Residents wishing to participate in the Memories in the Making program at the Alzheimer's Association Heart of America Chapter in Prairie Village can have transportation provided. |
