SeniorCare Residents go to the Overland Park Parade
Residents from SeniorCare Homes Home Plus in Overland Park took a trip to downtown Old Overland Park for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Thanks to Kiara’s many prayers for good weather, the residents and staff enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the sun watching the parade’s many attractions and participants.
Thank you to all of the residents, staff and families who made the day so special!
The More Hugs the Better
SeniorCare Homes has the luxury of only caring for up to five residents at any of our Johnson County locations. The benefit is that the Care Specialists have the time to form special bonds with the residents not often possible in larger institutional settings. Its a treat to enjoy the fruits of a successfully completed activity as demonstrated in this picture.

SeniorCare Residents Create Fall Flower Arrangements
Thanks to our great staff and residents at SeniorCare on Foster for arranging some beautiful Fall flower arrangements. A good time was had by all and the resulting flowers will add some Fall flavor to the house. The residents had the arrangements done in no time at all and enjoyed every second.
Special thanks to Chris for putting the activity together! We are looking forward to the the arrival of our Fall decorations on the front house steps later this week to really kick off the cooler weather.
Pets for Life Visits SeniorCare Homes
Love, treats and pets abounded at Foster Street last week. Several times per month, Pets for Life brings animals to visit the residents at SeniorCare Homes. It is always a thrill to see Maggie the dog getting pets and love at our homes. During the last visit, Phyllis really enjoyed Maggie and posed for a picture in the TV room.
SeniorCare is very grateful for Pets for Life and thanks them for their support of our residential assisted living homes in Johnson County. The animals seem to have a special 6th sense as they interact with memory impaired individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s

SeniorCare Homes Debuts Karaoke
SeniorCare Homes had its first Karaoke night to great reviews by residents and staff. Residents participated and danced to the music. It was the staff who were most excited when the idea was first discussed, but the residents stole the show and a great time was had by all. Whether you want to two-step or just sing a favorite tune, karaoke made for a great night at the SeniorCare Foster Street location.
Look for karaoke to become a staple at all the SeniorCare residential assisted living homes in the future.
