The Caregiver Alzheimer’s Blog
There is a great new caregiving and Alzheimer’s Blog that I came across today. A friend of mine at the Mid America Neuro Science Institute (www.neurokc.com) in Lenexa brought it to my attention and I wanted to pass it along. The founder became a caregiver by choice. He currently cares for his mother who is 92 years old and suffering from Alzheimer’s. The weblog covers a broad array of issues faced by caregivers and families.

SeniorCare Homes Featured in Sunflower Connection
SeniorCare Homes is proud to announce that our 68th Street home was recently featured in the Kansas Department on Aging “Sunflower Connection” newsletter as one of only 32 facilities to have earned a Deficiency-Free survey in the entire state of Kansas for the third quarter of 2009. This is a testament to the incredible Caregiving and Nursing staff at SeniorCare Homes.
This recognition goes one step further toward SeniorCare Homes continuing to maintain a spot as one of Kansas City’s finest Alzheimer’s and memory care options. With three homes located in Overland Park and Leawood, the company will continue growing to serve the needs of residents throughout Johnson County for years to come. Thanks again to our wonderful staff who make all of this possible.

More Music
The 68th Street home had a wonderful visitor – a volunteer from a local high school came over and shared her special gift of playing the harp! What a remarkable young woman and a tremendous musician. She said she would have liked to have played all day for the Residents.
